MY STORY

I have lived for decades Textile

Textiles have been my companion for decades –
as an artist, designer, printer, and dyer. What has fascinated me from the very beginning: textile as a material that can simultaneously be an everyday object, a work of art and a statement.

My studies helped me to deepen my practice in both fine art as well as artistic and applied textiles. Both flow into every creation I make to this day.

With Atelier LAV I have created a place where this work becomes visible – unique textile pieces that are made with intention and are built to last. In the special editions of House of LAV , textile and artistic practice come together to create something truly unique.

Each piece is unique

I create exclusively unique pieces – no series, no mass production. Every creation comes into being individually and consciously, whether made to order or as an independent work.

By order

All pieces shown on this website have already been sold or gifted – they show what is possible. Every piece can be commissioned again in a similar or entirely different form.

With conviction

I always respond personally to collaborations, projects, and inquiries. I'm very much looking forward to hearing from you!

What's inside matters

I choose the materials for all creations according to two criteria: high quality and sustainability. For me, this means:

  • primarily goods produced or certified in Europe
  • organic fabrics and natural materials
  • second hand clothing and upcycling
  • recycled materials
  • sustainable accessories
  • ecological production
  • fair pay
  • special focus on completely plastic-free products

On my blog I write about topics that matter to me.
For example:

  • alternative and sustainable textiles
  • fair production conditions
  • ecological textile techniques
  • dyeing and printing with natural means
